1. Overview

This website is operated by North of Indus. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us", and "our" refer to North of Indus. By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

2. Artisanal Character & Handmade Nuances

Every textile presented in our atelier is entirely handspun and handwoven by Kashmiri and Ladakhi master artisans. Unlike machine-milled textiles, genuine handloom creations inherently feature subtle organic nuances: micro-variations in yarn diameter, gentle slub textures, and hand-tied selvedge irregularities. These are not flaws or manufacturing defects; they constitute the definitive fingerprint of authentic handspun craftsmanship and proof of human origin.

3. Accuracy of Archival Imagery & Colors

We photograph our textiles under balanced, natural studio light to render color and weave architecture as accurately as possible. However, because display calibration varies across phone screens, tablets, and desktop monitors, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any hue will be an exact 100% duplicate of the physical textile.

4. Pricing & International Currencies

  • All prices displayed are subject to change without notice prior to order confirmation.

  • Prices displayed in foreign currencies (USD, EUR, GBP) are converted based on prevailing market exchange rates.

  • We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order placed with incorrect pricing due to typographical or technical errors.

5. Intellectual Property

All narrative editorial copy, fiber research essays, imagery, logo elements, weave sigils, and brand names featured on northofindus.com are the exclusive intellectual property of North of Indus. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any transactional agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal dispute or claim arising out of your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Jammu and Kashmir, India.
