North of Indus Shipping & Delivery Policy

We dispatch our fine textiles worldwide from India to discerning collectors across North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.

1. Processing & Handling Time

  • Ready-to-Ship Heirlooms: Inspected, sealed in our archival storage cases, and handed over to international couriers within 2 to 4 business days.

  • Loom Allocations / Pre-orders: Dispatched immediately upon loom completion and laboratory verification. Expected completion windows are detailed on the individual textile’s documentation page.

2. Transit Times & Courier Partners

All consignments are forwarded via premium tracked express carriers (DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, or India Post Speed Post EMS):

  • Domestic (India): 3 to 5 business days.

  • North America (USA & Canada): 5 to 8 business days.

  • United Kingdom & European Union: 5 to 8 business days.

  • Rest of the World: 7 to 10 business days.

Note: Deliveries require a physical street address and a signature upon receipt. We cannot deliver luxury textiles to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

3. Tracking & Transit Security

Once your consignment is dispatched, you will receive an automated shipping confirmation email containing your direct courier tracking number and real-time transit telemetry. All parcels are dispatched with sealed tamper-evident security tape.

4. International Customs, Duties & Import Taxes (Delivered Duty Paid — DDP)

  • All international orders are dispatched on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis.

  • North of Indus absorbs and prepays all applicable foreign import customs duties, border clearance fees, and local destination taxes (including UK/EU VAT or GST).

  • The price displayed at checkout is the complete, final landed cost. You will never receive unexpected invoices, customs brokerage demands, or doorstep clearance charges upon delivery.
